Your glass container is made of 3 mm thick borosilicate glass (BPA and lead-free). It is thicker than other food cans and is the same glass used in the space shuttle and laboratory glassware. Each glass bottle can be stored in the refrigerator.

Love these containers! After reading many reviews on how they’ve arrived broken &/or aren’t tall enough to fit spaghetti noodles I knew I was taking a risk still going with these but I was relieved to see they had all arrived in tact, packed snug into styrofoam & large enough to fit spaghetti with the lid completely & tightly sealed closed. Changing my review from 1 to 5 stars. When I originally ordered this glass jar set, the largest jar came broken. I posted a one star review and a customer service representative from light rail contacted me and asked if they could send a new jar set. The new set came fine and the jars are really beautiful to store pantry foods in. I definitely want to buy some more! ---- Sarah

I use them in the fridge for things like chopped onions. Love this item. Watch it when you clean the surface you keep them on. They slide under wet surfaces like a hockey puck. I had one fall four feet to the floor and it didn't break. Sturdy and looks great. ---- Kenneth
